Monday in KC!

Jag har tänkt i flera dagar att jag ska uppdatera bloggen men jag har faktiskt inte haft tid eller lust! Har bättre saker för mig än att sitta vid datorn faktiskt! 😉

3 veckor i USA ~ Kansas City.. vad hände? Dagarna går fortare än någonsin och det gillar jag inte!! Som tur är har jag 25 dagar kvar innan jag åker till Costa Rica vilket jag är supertaggad till såklart men just nu njuter jag av tiden här med min andra familj! 😀 Och efter Costa Rica har jag ytterligare 9 dagar innan hemfärd.. den vill jag inte ens tänka på just nu! Det bästa med de 9 dagarna är att jag får spendera 4 av dem med Ruth som kommer hit 21 mars – 4 april!

Jag har hittills haft det hur bra som helst! Umgåtts massvis med barnen, spelat spel, varit på alla deras olika matcher (basket och hockey är vad som är ”in season” just nu) ~ mycket duktiga är de allesammans! Vi har ätit massvis av god mat och självklart har jag hunnit med att träna en hel del också! Älskar Carriage Club och alla dess olika pass! Shopping har det blivit en del utav också men försöker hålla mig så gott det går även om det finns huuuuuuur mycket som helst! Tur att jag hjälper till med lite allt möjligt i Linas företag (merseaco) så jag får några extra dollar emellanåt! 😉 Ett gäng bio:s har jag också hunnit med och även några promenader med bästa Ruby såklart!!

Igårkväll var det Superbowl för hela slanten ~ ”hela tjocka släkten” var här! Vi var 22 stycken, varav 9 vuxna och resten barn i åldrarna 17 månader ~ 14 år! 😉 Och detta är bara på Dans sida! 😛 Stor stor släkt!! Men väldigt roliga och trevlig allesammans!! Alla var glada att se mig så det känns ju väldigt bra, som en i familjen helt enkelt!! Och gällande Superbowl så ÄLSKAR jag alla galna reklamer dom har!!!! 😀

Veckan som kommer är jag själv med kidsen onsdag ~ söndag då Lina & Dan ska till Cabo ~ Mexico för att fira Linas födelsedag (hennes present från Dan) så det blir nice!! Vi får se vad vi hittar på för kul.. förmodligen har alla fullt upp med allt möjligt till höger och vänster så det blir nog rätt lugnt för min del!

När jag ändå är inne på kidsen så är alla skolor inställda imorgon då vi väntar en gigantisk snöstorm.. dvs. ca 2 dm snö! 😉 Lite skillnad mot hemma men det har att göra med icke fungerande snöplogning, alla public schools och de stackars barn som inte har råd med vinterkläder och åker “skitbuss” till skolan och lite andra omständigheter!

Just ja, hade jag inte åkt till Costa Rica så hade jag fått följa med ”hela tjocka släkten” till Turks & Caicos (en ö i Karibien) över Spring Break! Lina var t o m lite ledsen att jag inte kunde följa med men såklart superglad att jag ska till Costa Rica en hel månad! Hade jag vetat det något tidigare hade jag alltid kunnat göra båda delarna.. haha! Tyvärr kan man inte få EXAKT allt här i världen! 😉

 Och nu när jag ändå kommer ihåg det så letar Lina efter någon som kan hjälpa till under sommaren (och kanske lite längre) med barnen, dvs. köra kidsen till höger och vänster m.m då både Lina & Dan jobbar! Säkerligen kommer personen även få hjälpa till lite på företaget emellanåt också! Så om någon är sugen, eller känner någon annan som är sugen.. let me know! Flygbiljetten är betald, pengar veckovis/månadsvis är såklart också aktuellt efter överenskommelse och sovrum/mat likaså! Det är en underbar familj på alla sätt och vis (annars skulle jag inte vara här) och hade jag inte min aspirant att slutföra hade jag definitivt stannat eller kommit tillbaka över sommaren! 😀 Så, som sagt.. hör av er.. lämna ett meddelande i bloggen, på facebook.. vart som helst.. så hör jag av mig! Best opportunity ever!! 😀

Kansas City (this was where I lived for 2 years) was my first stop on my USA trip in April 2011! 🙂 Miss the Dickinsons & Ruby (the dog) so so so much! I wonder when I’ll be able to see them again.. I guess when Im done with the Police Academy! 🙂

Crazy Stuff! :P

Alright, last whole day in KC has passed by quickly, as all the other days!

Tomorrow Im basically getting up early (might go for a run), doing the last of my laundry so I have everything clean for Florida and spending time with the kids, of course! ❤ We are leaving the house around 11-11.15 to go to the airport.

My mom & Johannes are on their way to Arlanda right now and Im pretty sure my dad is in the air, on his way to Frankfurt and then Miami.. 🙂 Excited to see them all!

I just realized a really BAD thing.. my swedish SIM card is LOST! I put it in my wallet so I would know where it was and NOT loose it and you know what?! Its NOT there..!!! Im just soooooo frustrated! Tried to get online onto my page but I cant really remember the password and I only get three tries before they lock it for 30 min!!  AND if I click the “forgot password” button its saying they are gonna send me my password in a sms to my phone number!!!! NOT gonna help me out! Good thing is that I have, pretty much all the numbers on my phone.. but still.. ENOYING! I am changing from 3 to Halebop (already have the sim card) though.. but not until July.. since my 3 account is “locked”!! SUCKY! (I finally figured out the password and sent customer service and email ~ no one has used my sim card either ~ its got a password on it.. good thing!)

Enough with that.. it is what it is!

I had a really fun time last night with my friends.. Got home pretty late so I never made it to work out class this morning.. But I slept in, talked to F, went for a walk with Ruby and at 11.30 Lina and I went to pick up the kids from school. We had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and then saw the movie Hop ~ so so cute! I think I laughed more than the kids! 😉

Afterwards we went home and goofed around.. Max went to a B-day party and Thomas is at a sleepover so Lina, Dan, Annabelle, Daniel & I went to Brio for a little goodbye dinner! Yummy food! 🙂 After that I went over to the Rupps to say bye to them and to Johanna! Such a fun, awesome, nice person! We will definitely try to meet up back in Sweden!

Oh, I forgot.. I have to tell you all about this crazy story about another Au Pair that got “shipped” back home recently! She basically stole money from the hostfamily (1400 dollars) during 2 weeks.. Getting money from different ATM’s.. And when the family finally realized this they asked her if she had taken the money. She denied it at first but then she told them this really crazy story about 3 guys threatening to kill her etc. if she didnt give them money.. SO, the police got involved and they set up this thing where the Au Pair was gonna meet these three guys at night and hand over the money.. Did they show up? NO, of course not.. So finally she admitted she had made the story up.. I mean it was sooo detailed that even the police thought it was true! CRAZY PSYCHO PERSON!!

2 days to go..

Well Well Well..

My days in Kansas City go by sooo fast! Now tuesday is basically done too!

Im picking up Johanna at 8pm and then heading over to Buffalo Wild Wings http://www.buffalowildwings.com/ to meet up with Pat & Bill and some other people too. We will have a lot of fun and we are smoking hookah afterwards.. Not at a Hookah Bar but at Pat’s place! 🙂

I just had dinner with the D’s.. homemade hamburgers and it was soooo good.. So Im only gonna be able to fit a few chicken wings in my stomach! 😛 Before dinner Thomas, Daniel & Annabelle were goofing around and I was taking pictures of them ~ check them out!

Max is at Lacrosse practice so Im gonna see him for a little bit before I leave BUT the fun thing is that tomorrow ~ since it’s my last day here ~ Lina and I are taking the kids out from school at lunch.. we are going to the Plaza to have lunch all together and then watching the movie Hop! 😀 Kids don’t have school thursday & friday either because of parent-teacher conferences.. which means I will be able to spend my whole thursday morning with the kids!! My flight leaves at 12.45 from here and Im in Fort Lauderdale at 4.45pm! 🙂 Im gonna miss the D’s a lot.. not sure when I’ll see them again.. Hopefully I’ll have time to come here next year (gonna feel like forever) otherwise they might visit Sweden.. ? 🙂

Yesterday I was just chilling.. talked to my dad for like 40 minutes via Viber and then I actually had time for shopping at Oak Park Mall, played with the kids and watched a movie ~ Red Riding Hood ~ Liked it a lot! So, this means I’ve pretty much watched the movies I was supposed to watch. Well, I do have Limitless & The Lincoln Lawyer left to see but wont have time for them so I’ll just have to wait for them to be downloaded... and I have a whole list of good movies that eventually will be able to get downloaded too! 😉

Oh, earlier today I watched the movie Battle: Los Angeles (really good) and this morning I went to a spinning class (my legs are finally better).. Im taking the 8.30 class tomorrow as well! 🙂 AND, I’ve bought a new suitcase (for Johannes actually.. although Im using it to get to Florida & Sweden and then he can have it)! So now.. Im basically all packed up! 😛 I also talked to Fredrik earlier!! ❤

Thunderstorms in KC are the best!

So, sunday has been an awesome day all day!

Started my day talking to my girls Ruth & Josi over Skype! 🙂 Ruth in Germany, Josi in India and Im in KC! 😀 After that I had my awesome breakfast and took a 45min walk with Ruby! Its been 30°C outside, really windy & humid so I predicted Thunderstorms ~ and was I right? YES!

After my walk I took a shower and talked to Fredrik.. really really miss him! At 2pm I headed down to the plaza.. watched Source Code (movie) and walked around there for a while. Got a Strawberry Frappachino w/o whipped cream and went to Forever 21 (alot better than most other XX1 clothing stores). Didnt find anything though so I headed over to Victorias Secret. Had a Secret Reward card there.. which means it could be anything from 10 dollars to 500 dollars on it. I had, believe it or not, 10 dollars on mine! Haha! 😛

So I found myself one more bra so when I get home Im gonna throw all the others away! 🙂 I also bought a body mist, lotion & shower gel! 😉

Once back at the house I hung out with Annabelle & Daniel a little (Max had a Lacrosse game and T went too). I had some dinner ~ pasta w chicken ~ really good! 🙂 At 7pm I left to go see a movie ~ I am number four ~ loved it! 🙂

When I left to go see the movie it was like 27°C outside and 2hours later when I came out it was 14°C, pouring rain and thunderstorms! If you like T-storms.. KC is the place to be. They are just awesome here! 😀 Right when I pulled up the driveway its started hailing ~ pretty big ones.. so I had to wait in the car till it was over. Dan looked out the window and laughed! 😛 Haha!

Tuesday I have plans to meet up with Pat & Bill and some other people at Buffalo Wild Wings and after that we are gonna go back to Pats place and smoke Hookah (vattenpipa).. 🙂

I also have to tell you that Max was so cute when we were at The Legends yesterday.. From no where he says: I really want to see your baby, once you have one, and I want to come to your wedding, if you’re gonna have one! 🙂 Haha ~ so cute! ❤

Anyways.. time to go to bed in a little bit.. Even though my legs are still REALLY sore Im gonna try to do the 8.30am class tomorrow!

Babysitting the Lovely Dickinson Kids! <3

Well, already saturday.. 5 more days and Im off to Florida! Crazy how fast time goes!

Right now Im just chilling outside.. its 22 degress and its 8pm! Love it! Finally some sun in KC! 😀

Im babysitting Max, Thomas, Daniel & Annabelle ~ Lina & Dan are at an auction at the kids school! Just cant believe how big the kids are. Max and T are outside playing Lacrosse with one of the neighbors.. Daniel is both inside (watching Indiana Jones) and playing outside.. running back and forth! 😛 Annabelle is at one of the neighbors jumping on the trampolin (studsmatta).. but its almost bedtime for her! 🙂 I remember the time when they were all younger and by this time all four would have been in bed! 😛 Now they are all so independent and just playing/hanging out doing their own things and the boys are not going to bed until like 9.30ish pm! ❤

Today’s been a really awesome day! Slept in.. I was thinking of taking the 9am spinning class but when I woke up I thought I was paralized.. I’m soooo sore (träningsverk) from working out! Can barely put my butt down when I go to the restroom! 😛 So, I decided to go to The Legends again.. somehow I got the wrong size on one of my shoes I bought the other day so I wanted to get a different size before it was too late.. 😛 Max decided to go with me so we had lunch together at Chipotle and checked out some stores at The Legends! 🙂 Such a pleasure to have him with me! ❤

When we got home I quickly talked to Fredrik and after that Max, Zach, Thomas, John, Annabelle and I went and saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules! Its was a really funny movie and after that I dropped everyone of and went to the store.. got some milk, juice, fruit and bread! 😛 Once I got home Annabelle and I made Swedish Pancakes and we all had that.. And now, like I said.. everyone is playing all over the place! 🙂

By the way, I went and saw Sucker Punch yesterday.. A different, but good movie! 😛 I love the quote “If you don’t stand for something, You’ll fall for anything!” 🙂

Friday and April Fools Day! 🙂

I actually havnt thought of it all day until after dinner when the kids told us what pranks they did in school! 😛

We all just came back from dinner at BRGRs ~ really good hamburgers and stuff like that! Now we are all, except Annabelle ~ she’s sleeping, watching Undercover Brother! 😛 Im gonna leave in 30 min though.. Im gonna go see Sucker Punch at the movie theater. 🙂 Got invited to a party in Lawrence but its gonna take me, atleast, 30 min or something to get there and right now I dont feel like it! 🙂 So Im just gonna try to see everyone some other day.

Anyways, today nothing special happened.. Just a nice chill day! Worked out this morning ~ great class! After that Johanna, Rosie, Ruby & I went on a 1 hour walk and the weather has been great all day.. around 18 degrees! 🙂 Took a nice long shower after that, talked to F for a while <3, went to a store and bought some stuff, played with the kids, drove Thomas & Mark to the Soccer park for soccer practice. Max & Charlie came too ~ they wanted to hang out there and goof around. Found out when I picked them up that one of their friends had tried to ask a girl out! The age they’re in ~ 11 ~ is so much fun! 😛

At 5.30pm it was only me and Max home (Annabelle was at the neighbors house) so we played Lacrosse (See pictures on facebook) and after that we played the fun card game Bullocks. When everyone else got home Lina joined us for a few rounds because after that we went to BRGR’s! 🙂

Soooo.. its been a really nice, chill, “quiet”, fun day!

Tomorrow is Saturday and I was thinking of taking a spinning class but think Im gonna go for a run instead, its gonna be like 20 degrees so Ill rather do that! 🙂 Max wanted me to come to his Lacrosse game at 9am.. little early? 😛

I might head out to The Legends as well, noticed I got the wrong size on one of my new tennis shoes! At 3pm Im taking the kids to see the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and at night Im making Swedish Pancakes and watching the kiddos.. Lina & Dan are going to some Auction! Fun Fun Fun! 😀

So, thats a little update for tomorrow aswell! 😉

Awesome!

Well.. I just got back from a movie.. I saw The Adjustment Bureau.. really good! 🙂

I woke up at 7.20 this morning and thought.. Hey, why go back to sleep when Im going to my Spinning class at 8.30 so I went online and talked to Fredrik for a while! ❤

Spinning was great.. gosh I really miss Greggs classes.. AWESOME is what they are! It was not plain old spinning.. he added weights to it so we also worked out shoulder, biceps & back while sitting on the bike Spinning.. SO HARD but SO FUN! 🙂 After 15 minutes Gregg came up to me and said: Jenny, this is not like you.. you’re not even sweating?! (I was sweating ALOT) Haha, well Im getting there was my answer to that! He also wondered when he asked me for how long I’d been in town and I said since saturday evening why this was the first day I came to class? Well, I just got new tennis shoes was my answer! 😀

Last but not least.. When the class was over (SOAKING with sweat and kinda dizzy) Gregg said: So, Ill see you tomorrow at 8.30, so I can see what you go for! My answer to that was: Absolutely, but Ive barely worked out anything since december – been kinda lazy. His response was: I’ve taught you better than that!

He is just soooo great and have the best workout classes ever! He was my personal trainer a few times when I lived her.. like 5-6 times and after that I started taking his classes and WOW – love em’!! 😀 I went like 5 times a week.. and no class was the same! Awesome!

Anyways, besides working out Ive also done some shopping today, had Chipotle (yummy mexican food) for lunch, talked to F over Skype, played w the kids and for dinner Lina, Daniel, Annabelle & I went to Sweet Tomato. Max had Lacrosse practice, Thomas had baseball practice and Dan was out of town. When we came back around 6.45 Lina had to run and pick M & T up so I put Annabelle & Daniel to bed – just like old times.. Sweet as ever! ❤

Played a couple of rounds of Bullocks w Lina & Max.. Thomas was on my team! 🙂 And then I had to drive to the movietheater. Johanna was thinking of coming but she didnt end work until a few min after 8pm and the movie started at 8pm so I just went and saw it by myself! We decided to take the dogs for a walk tomorrow at 10.30 instead.. fun fun! 🙂

Yesterday I, pretty much, chilled all day (besides my run around Loose Park in the morning ~ shoes are great & lunch w Johanna & Anna at Panera Bread ~ Love the Broccoli&Cheddar Soup).. Annabelle, Daniel & I went to Loose Park and played for a while during the afternoon and at night I had dinner w the Rupps. We were supposed to Skype w Ruth since its her B-day today (Happy Birthday Babe).. but I talked to her earlier during the day yesterday and she was getting up early and 2am in the morning is not the perfect time to talk to anybody! 😛 When I got back home, around 8.30 I took Ruby for a 30 min walk and after that Lina & I watched Top Model!

Thats what I’ve been up to these two days! 🙂 Now its only a week left until I go to Fort Lauderdale to meet up with my parents & Johannes!  🙂 Actually this time in a week Ill be at the hotel! 🙂 I cant believe how fast time flies.. Ive almost been here a week already – crazy! 😀 I love the D’s! ❤

Anyways, its almost 11pm and Im getting up and doing a Body Sculpting class tomorrow so.. GOOD NIGHT! 🙂

Having fun! :)

Då har jag precis kommit hem igen efter 5 timmar all over Kansas City! 🙂

Först och främst började jag min dag med att ta en timmes promenad med Ruby! Riktigt härligt men upptäckte ju ganska snart att promenera i högt tempo med vanlig adidas skor är ingen höjdare! Måste införskaffa mig nya träningsskor helt enkelt!

Ringde till Johanna ~ tänkte höra hur hon jobbade och om vi skulle käka lunch eller åka o shoppa någonstans men hon började kl 13 och hade nog precis vaknat när jag ringde så vi bestämde att käka lunch imån istället! Panera Bread blir det då! MUMS! 🙂

Så jag pratade en snabbis med Fredrik sen hoppade jag in i duschen (åt ju min älskade frukost innan också) och därefter bar det av emot THE LEGENDS! 🙂 Shoppade loss i Nike affären.. 2 nya par skor, en träningsjacka, ett par träningsbyxor & strumpor! 🙂 Sen blev det ett linne på Pac Sun och, konstigt nog, inget mer där! Kommer ev. åka dit på lördag igen.. Kolla om antingen Lina (hon ville följa med någon gång om hon hade tid) eller Johanna vill haka på! Ska ju inhandla lite Converse skor åt Anna nämligen och måste veta om det är 1 eller 5 par hon ska ha! Hahahaha.. Men kom ihåg att jag skickar det per post Anna! 🙂

Åkte därefter till Target och alla affärer där runt i kring.. Så det blev lite smått på Target, bronz puder & solfaktor och nått klädesplagg till Felicia! 😉 Råkade hamna på Off Broadway Shoes efteråt och oj oj oj.. I fell in love!! Hittade ett par skit snygga Ed Hardy skor så dom blev det.. See Picture! 😀

Sist men inte minst hoppade jag in på nagelsalongen och fick pedikyr (fotmassage, vadmassage, finslipade fötter + nagellack & lite bling bling) och jag gjorde ju självklart en nagelförlängning också.. samma färg som tårna och bling bling på dom också! 😉

Så nu blir det lugnt ett par dagar med shopping.. tror jag? 😉 Tänkte chilla lite imån.. Ta en promenad med Ruby och en springtur i nya skorna, sen lunch med Johanna & Anna och därefter blir det luuugnt! 😛 Torsdag ska jag nog pallra mig iväg på ett spinning pass också och sen måste jag ju gå på nån annan workout class också.. Gregg är ju en sån himla bra tränare, inte undra på att man va trimmad i slutet av min USA vistelse 08.. lite sämre med det nu! ;P

Nu blir det Spaghetti o Köttfärssås + vitlöksbröd sen ska jag passa barnen en stund.. Både Lina o Dan hade nå Tennis Game dom va tvungen att delta i och så passande att jag va här o inte hade något annat för mig! 😛

Funderar på att eventuellt gå se en film ikväll.. Finns massvis som jag vill se! Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 (ska se den med barnen i helgen tror jag), Limitless, Red Riding Hood, The adjusment bureau, Beastly, I am number four, Sucker Punch, The lincoln lawyer, Gnomeo & Juliet, Source Code (opening friday), Hanna.. och Your Highness (opening april 8th), Big mommas: like father, like son.. Som sagt.. Måste nog börja idag om jag ska hinna avverka allihopa?! 😀 Kanske höra om någon ska med annars har jag ju faktiskt gått en hel del själv på bio när jag bodde här.. Alla jobbade och det inte fanns något annat att göra ~ bio passade perfekt! 😀

Nä.. dags att vara lite social då! 🙂

*Blev lite haveri på Internet så hann aldrig få ut mitt inlägg tidigare.. så jag kan ju lägga till att jag varit på Kona Grill med Johanna, Anna & Daniella nu på kvällen ~ precis kommit hem! Riktigt trevliga tjejer! 🙂 Det blev 2 st drinkar dessutom 😉 1 rasberry mojito och 1 vanlig mojito! MUMS! 😉
